| Kind of a repost, but my thread got locked (didn't know about the 24 hour thread lock.) I looked at and test drove a 91 with 85K miles. Here's a very brief lowdown of what I saw, keep in mind I've done some work on cars before (changed an alternator in an 85 200SX like 4 times) but not a whole lot. 1) Exahust (mufflers anyway) rusted through in spots 2) Engine was really dirty (oil, grime) 3) Battery tiedown and connectors had some rust 4) smallish oil leak under the car 5) When driving, there was a little shake through the steering wheel at times 6) e-brake light didn't go off after ebrake was released 7) idle was a little rough at first 8) minor interior and exterior blemeshes.
The car didn't smoke at all, no funny smells either. If I had to rate the car, I would give the interior about an 8, the exterior a 8. The carfax for this car came back clean. My question to you guys is, what do you guys think this car would be worth, and what would you guess the above problems might mean as far as cost and headache? thanks, again, in advance for helping me out.
